The Governing Body meets formally at least twice a term, as well as
conducting its business Committee Meetings and regular visits to school
by individual governors.
The aim of Compton & Up Marden CE School, as decided by the Governing
Body, is to provide a happy and secure learning environment in which its
pupils can progress and achieve their highest possible potential within
the requirements of the National Curriculum.
The Annual Ballot of Governors resulted in the unanimous decision not to
ballot parents regarding Grant Maintained Status. The School continues
to be maintained by the Local Education Authority, managing its own
budget under the Local Management of Schools system.
