Compton & Up Marden CE school is a small downland school set in an idyllic location with extensive grounds.  Children thrive in a supportive, caring atmosphere where they become self-motivated, independent and confident.

Public transport is available from Westbourne, Rowlands Castle, Forestside and Stansted and a Local Authority mini-bus from Funtington via Watergate, Walderton, Stoughton, East Marden and Up Marden.   A breakfast club is available from 7.55 a.m., and from September 2012  an after-school club will be available to cater for those parents who need extended day care.

The school achieves high academic standards but also provides opportunities to develop creativity through art, music and drama. All children in Key Stage 2 receive free tuition to play a musical instrument. 

French is taught throughout the school.  Sport for older pupils is taught by specialist coaches.  The school works closely with the local parish church and our exciting project for a new hall and splendid additional facilities was completed in May.
